§ Colonel ASHLEYThe grants sanctioned during the 12 months ending 30th June, 1923, for road works in the area in question, put in hand with a view to mitigating unemployment, amounted to a total of £220,796, on works estimated to cost £441,616. Further schemes in the area, to an estimated toital cost of £612,434, are under consideration, and a detailed list of the schemes and amounts of the grants is being communicated to the hon. Member.
