HC Deb 02 August 1923 vol 167 c1736W
Sir M. ARCHER-SHEE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Egyptian Government have now inquired into the affair when Messrs. Clement and Fearns were marched handcuffed through the streets of Alexandria; and whether the responsible officials have been punished?

Mr. McNEILL

I understand that the inquiry which the Egyptian Government, at the instance of Lord Allenby, is making into this case is not yet complete.
