Mr. SIMPSONasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that two vessels were bought from the United States Shipping Board by Canadian purchasers under contracts which stipulated that the vessels should not be used in any manner which would violate the laws of the United States, and that, in consequence of this stipulation, registry was refused by the Canadian Government in the case of these vessels; and whether any representation has been made to His Majesty's Government in the matter?
