§ The PRIME MINISTERThe answer to the first part of the question is in the 2319W affirmative, and His Majesty's Government are clearly of opinion that in view of the large number of Roman Catholics in the British Empire it is obviously the duty of His Majesty when in Rome to follow the example twice set by His late Majesty King Edward VII and pay a visit of courtesy to the Pope.
