§ Mr. BATEYasked the Home Secretary if he is aware that James White was fined £5 at the Bishop Auckland Police Court, County Durham, on 19th March, 1923, for driving a motor-cycle along a main street at Crook; and, seeing that this was a first offence., and 'in view of the evidence that he was not travelling at more than 8 or 10 miles an hour, and that he Was not in a financial position to appeal to a higher Court; will steps be taken to reduce this fine?
