§ Colonel ASHLEYAs regards railway rates I would refer the hon. Member to my recent answer to the hon. Member for. Normanton (Mr. F. Hall), of which I am sending him a copy. I have no information with regard to the freights charged for transport by canal. As regards t he last part of the question, L am informed by the Board of Trade that the freights charged for coastwise transport have increased by approximately 60 per cent. over pre-War rates.
