Mr. YOUNGNo arrangements have been made for an open competitive examination for the clerical class (men) to be held this year. A further limited competition for the class, open only to ex-service personnel temporarily employed in the Government service, is to be held this summer. I hope that all ex-service candidates who qualify at this examination will be absorbed within a reasonable period.
