HC Deb 26 May 1922 vol 154 c1570W
Mr. MILLS

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether his attention has been called to the statement of M. Tchitcherin to the effect that, unless Japan abandon the idea of making attempts against the independence of the Far Eastern Republic, she will have to look forward to serious complications with Russia in the near future; and whether His Majesty's Government, with a view to avoiding serious trouble in the Far East, will communicate with the Powers which attended the Washington Conference, with the aim of making joint representation to Japan to evacuate Siberia without further delay?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the right hon. Member for Platting (Mr. Clynes) on 22nd May.
