§ Mr. NEALI have no knowledge of any such intention, and I would remind the hon. and gallant Member that the Minister has now no direct jurisdiction over railway charges. The companies are at liberty to reduce the existing fares if they feel justified in so doing, and the Rates Tribunal has power to determine any applications for reduction made to them, under the provisions of Sections 60 and 78 of the Railways Act, 1921.
