Mr. T. THOMSONasked the Minister of Health whether, having regard to the fact that children under six years of age may now be withdrawn from school, he will reconsider the need of sanctioning the building of more houses by local authorities under the Housing Act of 1919, so that the state of affairs disclosed by the Census of 1911, and since aggravated, when 254,000 families occupied one room, may be remedied and children under six years kept from school may have more healthful surroundings than are possible in one-roomed tenements?
§ Sir A. MONDAs regards further Government housing I can add nothing to the reply given to the hon. Member on the 3rd instant.
