asked the President of the Board of Trade what is the profit or loss resulting to date from the transactions of the Imported Timber Department?

The imported timber trading accounts for the year ended 31st March last are in course of preparation, and the profit or loss cannot at present be stated. It is anticipated, however, that the account will show a slight, profit.
