BENNasked the President of the Board of Education whether, in view of the unanimous recommendation of the Cambridge Committee of the Universities Commission in favour of the admission of women to full membership of Cambridge University, he is prepared to take the necessary steps to introduce legislation on this subject; and, if not, whether he is prepared to recommend that a largely increased grant to the university should be made conditional upon the admission of women to membership?
