§ Lieut.-Colonel HURSTasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what progress has been made in the negotiations with Egypt as to compensation for British officials who retire from the Egyptian Government service; and whether he can assure such officials that His Majesty's Government will not lose sight of its obligation to secure them suitable compensation?
§ Mr. McCURDYLord Allenby was recently requested to furnish his recommendations on this subject, which are still awaited. The reply to the latter part of the question is in the affirmative.
