No fixed allowance is made to him for travelling expenses, but the increase under the head of travelling and subsistence charges consequent on the amalgamation of the offices of procurator fiscal for Roxburghshire and Berwickshire may be taken as £30 per annum. The net annual saving which results from the amalgamation of the two offices is about £120.
