§ Mr. KENNEDYasked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been drawn to the large number of unemployed in the township of Eastriggs 689W and district consequent upon the lack of work at His Majesty's factory, Gretna; and whether, in view of the fact that this district is entirely dependent upon the Gretna factory, and that most of the inhabitants were removed to the district during the period of the War, and, in consequence of the housing shortage, are unable to return to industrial centres, steps will be taken to provide further work for the factory in order to find employment for a community which is suffering greatly?
