BOSCAWENI am informed that two cows died on infected premises at Prestonpans, and that owing to difficulty in finding a suitable place in the vicinity for burial, they remained unburied for about 48 hours. It should be282W borne in mind that the outbreak took place in a town, and 102 animals, not three, as suggested in the question, had to be buried. Meanwhile they were protected under cover, and careful attention was given to the disinfection of the workers.
