§ Mr. GRUNDYasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the amount covered by guarantees given by the Trade, Facilities Advisory Committee up to date; and whether, in order that the existence and functions of the Committee may be brought to public notice, he will consider the advisability of publishing an Interim Report of the work of the Committee up to date?
Mr. YOUNGThe total amount covered by guarantees under the Trade Facilities Act is approximately £8,500,000. Particulars will be given in due course in the quarterly statement to be presented under Section I (5) of the Act. I will consider whether the Committee could usefully be asked to make an Interim Report on their work, but I am inclined to doubt if this is desirable or necessary.
