§ Mr. SHORTTI understand there was one confinement among the female prisoners at Leeds last January and another last September. When a confinement takes place in prison, the 1533W patient receives better medical attention and nursing than in most cases she would receive outside. Sometimes when the confinement is likely to occur near the end of the sentence, the remainder of the sentence is remitted, but this is not a course which I could adopt in all cases.
