asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the case of Saddler F. M. Tone, Royal Field Artillery; what was the date of this man's discharge; and whether he has any claim for pay on the War Office?

Mr. F. M. Tone, late Saddler, Royal Field Artillery, was discharged with effect from 25th September, 1917. He has no claim for pay on the War Office. The hon. and gallant Member was informed in September last that this man's credit balance at the date of his desertion was forfeited at the expiration of three years from that date as prescribed by the Regulations under the Regimental Debts Act, 1893.
