HC Deb 02 March 1922 vol 151 cc582-3W
Mr. BETTERTON

asked the Minister of Pensions whether, in order to allay the anxiety at present existing, he will state whether the Government have come to any decision with regard to the recommendations made in the Geddes Report in so far as they affect the rates of pensions payable under the existing warrant to disabled officers and men, the medical treatment of the disabled, and the pensions given to parents and dependants of those men who died in consequence of War service; and whether he is able to state that the rates payable under the existing warrant will not be interfered with?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am glad to be able to assure my hon. Friend that the rates of pension and of allowance during treatment payable under the Royal Warrants to disabled officers and men will not be reduced except in accordance with the terms of the Warrants which provide for review in 1923. I made a full statement on parents' pensions in a reply which I gave to my hon. and learned Friend the Member for Central Bristol (Mr. Inskip) on the 23rd February. I am sending my hon. Friend a copy.
