Captain COOTEasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether any trade agreement has been concluded with Czecho-Slovakia; if so, upon what terms; and, if not, whether negotiations are proceeding with a view to concluding such an agreement or the granting of any loan to the Czech Government?
Mr. HARMSWORTHProposals have been made for the conclusion of a commercial convention with Czecho-Slovakia Negotiations are still in progress, and the terms of the convention are not yet determined. As regards a loan to Czecho-Slovakia, I can only refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given on 27th February to a question on this subject by the hon. Member for Whitehaven (Mr. Grant).
