§ Sir A. MONDThe grants paid up to date to the National Council for Combating Venereal Disease during the current financial year amount to £9,500. As regards the second part of the question, I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the concluding part of the reply given to him on the 23rd March last, in which it was stated that no grants are made direct by local authorities to the National Council.
