§ Earl WINTERTONI am informed by the High Commissioner for India that in the circumstances explained on the 15th 1857W June, in reply to a question asked by the hon. Member for Newcastle-under-Lyme (Colonel Wedgwood), the order to which reference is made has been placed with a British firm in respect of porcelain insulators of German manufacture. It was decided not to purchase glass insulators. It is not customary or desirable to publish the name of successful tenderers.
