§ Mr. MACPHERSONThe present number of Ministry hospitals is 52. Seventeen hospitals have been closed during the past 12 months, and it is proposed shortly to close two others. The number of in-patients in Ministry hospitals on the 3rd June was approximately 10,000; on the same date in 1921 and 1920 the number was 11,700 and 7,650 respectively.
