§ Mr. MILLSasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the serious financial position of a large number of boards of guardians in the country, he can see his way to relax the stringency which has been exercised with regard to the limitation of the periods for which loans or overdrafts are granted or permitted for the purpose of providing for expenditure upon the relief of unemployed persons and their families?
§ Sir A. MONDI do not think that there has been any undue stringency. I am anxious to afford the guardians all reasonable assistance in this matter.
