asked the Prime Minister whether, as the United States of America has recognised Lithuania de jure as well as de facto, Great Britain Will now do the same?

The Lithuanian Government have been informed through the intermediary of the Conference of Ambassadors that the Allied Powers were prepared to accordde jure recognition to Lithuania on the condition that the Lithuanian Government on its side would accept the stipulations of the Treaty of Versailles in regard to the navigation of the Niemen.
