§ Mr. FORESTIER-WALKERasked the Home Secretary whether it is proposed, by an Order-in-Council, to make alterations in the places at which assizes in the future are to be held; and whether he will give an undertaking that before any changes are made the matter shall be brought before Parliament in order that this House may have an opportunity of expressing an opinion thereon?
§ Mr. SHORTTI understand that the whole question of the arrangements of Circuits is under consideration by a Committee appointed by the Lord Chancellor. Until that Committee reports and proposals are formulated, it is not possible to give an answer to the second part of the question.
