§ Sir W. de FRECEasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the movement in favour of holding local conferences of all bodies interested in the question of smoke abatement; and whether he will suggest to the town councils of industrial districts the desirability of copying the example just set in this respect by the mayor of Oldham?
§ Sir A. MONDI am aware of the Conference proposed to be held at Oldham, and have arranged that a representative of. the Ministry shall attend. I shall be glad to encourage conferences on this subject where they are likely to serve a useful purpose.
