asked the President of the Board of Trade what were the numbers of British ships trading to Bangkok in 1914 and 1921; and what was the number for those years in comparison with the shipping of other countries?

The following statement, which has been compiled from the Bangkok Market Report and the Quarterly Record of the Siamese Board of Commercial Development, shows the number and tonnage of ships that entered the port of Bangkok with cargoes and in ballast during the 12 months ended March, 1915, and March, 1922, respectively:
