Mr. LEWISThe latest available statistics relating to the provision of meals by local education authorities are given in Appendix A of the Board's Circular 1261, of which I am sending a copy to the hon. Member. My right hon. Friend thinks that this Appendix will give him what he requires though not in the exact form in which he has asked for it, and my right hon. Friend thinks he will agree with him that the school population as shown by the average attendance is a better index figure than the whole population.
