asked the President of the Board of Trade if, taking all the chief articles of popular consumption, he will give the average War prices and the average prices now in comparative form?

As prices generally were rising throughout the War, it would be necessary, in order to compute the

AVERAGE PRICES, in the United Kingdom generally, returned to the Ministry of Labour as paid by working-class consumers for the undermentioned commodities (a) at July, 1914 (6) at various dates during the war, and (c) at 1st June, 1922.
