Mr. YOUNGSeventy ex-service men employed as temporary clerks in the Paymaster-General's Department competed at the recent limited competition for the clerical class; 15 passed, 7 qualified and 48 failed. Of the latter 36 applied for the submission of their cases to the Investigating Board, and 12 of these applications were forwarded to the Civil Service Commission.
