§ Mr. GRANTasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if a loan is to be made by this country to Czecho-Slovakia; if so, what is the amount; and if he can say on what security the loan is to be advanced?
Mr. YOUNGThere is no question of a loan by the British Government to Czecho-Slovakia. My right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer cannot undertake to answer questions as to negotiations which may at any time be taking place between foreign Governments and potential leaders in the London market.
