§ Mr. KELLAWAYAs the telephone systems in the Isle of Man and in Jersey are self-contained it is not essential that they should be administered by the Post Office in common with the telephone system of the United Kingdom. The terms on which I am prepared to issue a licence to the Insular Government for the conduct of telephone business in the Isle of Man were communicated to the Lieut.-Governor some months ago; but an application for a licence has not yet been received.
