§ Mr. BRIDGEMANThe latest information available with regard to royalty rents paid in the County of Durham relates to the quarter ended 31st March, 1921, when the average cost was 7¾d. per ton of coal raised. The total amount of royalty rent paid during this period was £234,776, none of which, it is understood, was paid to local rates.
