HC Deb 09 February 1922 vol 150 c334W
Sir C. YATE

asked the Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that the Indian military pensioners coming in for inspection by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, who lived within 10 miles of a railway station, have been refused the road allowance of one rupee for the double trip to and from the railway station sanctioned for pensioners who resided beyond the 10-mile limit; and, considering that many of these pensioners are aged men of 60 and over and many of them wounded, he will sanction to them the payment of this small road allowance?

Mr. MONTAGU

I have no information on the point, the decision on which I must leave to the Government of India.
