HC Deb 08 February 1922 vol 150 c140W
Captain GEE

asked the Secretary of State for War if his attention has been called to the disgraceful state of the Joan of Arc Hostel, Plumstead; if he is aware that the windows are broken and pieces of roofing are being pulled off daily; and will he consider the advisibility of selling the whole concern?

Sir J. GILMOUR

Without accepting the description of the buildings in question, I may say that the First Commissioner is quite prepared to sell this and similar properties should a satisfactory price be offered.
