§ Mr. JOHNasked the President of the Board of Education whether it is the intention of the Board to limit the percentage of free places in secondary schools that have hitherto provided full and complete secondary education to all their pupils to 25 per cent, of the places available in such schools?
Mr. WOODUnder Article 20 of the Board's Draft Regulations for secondary schools the present percentage of free places offered must not, without the sanction of the Board, exceed the percentage awarded in the school year ending 31st July, 1922. The draft Article does not require a reduction in the percentage awarded.
