REMNANTasked the Postmaster-General whether proposals for revising the conditions of service of assistant superintendents of traffic, London telephone service, have been made to the Treasury by the Post Office; whether the consideration of this revision has been outstanding for over two years; and whether he will expedite a settlement, and take steps to ensure that these men do not suffer financially as a consequence of the delay?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINA claim by the staff in question is the subject of discussion by the Treasury. The long delay is due to a variety of causes, some of which have now been disposed of, and the matter will be expedited as far as possible.
