LEIGHasked the Minister of Agriculture what steps he proposes to take to ensure that the interests of the consumer will receive adequate consideration by the Departmental Committee which he is about to set up to inquire into the methods and cost of selling and distributing agricultural, horticultural, and dairy produce; and when he hopes to be in a position to announce that the Committee have opened their inquiry?
§ Sir R. SANDERSI am inviting certain Members of this House to serve on this Committee, and I am sure that they will have due regard to the interests of the consumer. I hope to be in a position to announce the composition of the Committee early next week. The inquiry will no doubt be commenced without delay.
