§ Sir JOHN BAIRDI have been asked to reply to this question. It is presumed that the hon. and learned Member refers to the scheme under which surplus Admiralty drifters have been sold on the instalment system by the Fishery Board for Scotland to Scottish fishermen. Seventy vessels were sold under the scheme. It has been necessary to foreclose mortgages in 15 cases. In three cases the full price has been paid. In the remaining 52 cases the price has not yet been fully met.
