HC Deb 04 December 1922 vol 159 c1248W
Mr. TURNER

asked the Home Secretary if his attention has been called to the statements made by Horace G. King-land, a prisoner detained in penal servitude at Dartmoor, during a trial before Mr. Justice Sankey on Monday last; whether he has caused inquiries to be made into the said statements; and with what results?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

Yes, Sir. I have made inquiry into these statements, and find them to be untrue. The man in question has from time to time made unfounded statements and complaints. He has been treated in prison with much patience and indulgence.
