Mr. ALFRED DAVIES (Clitheroe)asked the Minister of Pensions the number of permanent established officers of the Ministry with the status of principal clerks and above, and the percentage of the same who served with the Colours during the War and at present engaged on the staff of the headquarters of the Ministry?
§ Major TRYONThe number of established officers at the headquarters of the Ministry of the rank of principal clerk and above is 47. Of these, 6.4 per cent. served with the Colours, the remainder having been civil servants with long service who were above military age, or were found unfit for military service, or were compulsorily retained in the interests of public administration.
