§ Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSONThe amount of advances made during the 437W year ending 31st March, 1922, is£1,078,109. During the same period applications for guarantees were sanctioned to the value of£8,572,629. Of this sum, guarantees have actually been given for£686,520. As regards the balance, the drafts have not yet come forward.
