HC Deb 11 April 1922 vol 153 cc248-9W
Mr. MACLEAN

asked the Minister of Pensions whether a number of ex-service men who are suffering from pensionable disabilities are being ordered to attend their panel doctors; whether this means that no allowance is paid to them; whether these doctors decline to certify the men as fit for work, but certify them as being unable to follow their employ- ment owing to their disabilities; and whether the Ministry pay attention to such decisions?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I would remind my hon. Friend that under the terms of Article 6 of the Warrant treatment allowances are only payable where, as a consequence of an approved course of treatment which the man is receiving for his War disability he is unable to provide for his own support and that of his family.
