HC Deb 04 April 1922 vol 152 c2052W
Mr. LYLE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in the coming Budget, he will take into consideration the claims of lower middle class workers to be allowed to deduct, for the purposes of Income Tax, their expenses incurred in travelling to and from their work; and whether, in this respect, he will put them on the same plane with artisans, who often are paid as well or better?

Sir R. HORNE

I am at present considering the whole question in connection with the coming Budget.
