§ Mr. NEALThe whole question of the future development of the inland waterways of the country, including the plan for the improvement of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Canal, is still under consideration by a Committee presided over by the hon. Member for Ladywood (Mr. A. Chamberlain), and, pending the receipt of their Final Report and the settlement of a general policy, it is not 673W possible to make any statement in regard to a particular canal.
