§ Sir C. YATEasked the Secretary of State for India what has been the result of the establishment of censorship of cinema films in India, who are the censors, and what have they done?
§ Mr. MONTAGUI understand that boards for the censorship of films are at work in Calcutta, Bombay, Madras and Rangoon. They are appointed by the local Governments concerned. I have not received any reports as to their work. But I understand that the Government of India has recently had its attention drawn to the matter, and suggestions have been made to it for making the censorship in each place more efficient.
