§ Mr. LAWSONasked the Chief Secretary whether on the night of 7th May, between 10 and 2 o'clock, a party of military or police attacked the town of Youghal, County Cork, breaking windows in about 150 houses and raiding several shops and looting their contents; whether this is to be regarded as a reprisal for an attack on a military party in the neighbourhood; whether curfew was in force during those hours; and whether any arrests have been made?
§ Sir H. GREENWOODAs this refers to the martial-law area, I have asked the Commander-in-Chief for a report, and shall be glad if the hon. Member will postpone his question for a few days.
