HC Deb 24 May 1921 vol 142 c52W
Captain TERRELL

asked the Minister of Health whether his Department has objected to the execution of any housing schemes in Oxfordshire; and whether, in that case, he will give instances and state his reasons for the policy?

Sir A. MOND

I have been unable to approve of the prices quoted for the erection of houses in certain districts in Oxfordshire, for instance, in the Crow-marsh and Henley rural districts, as the figures were too high for acceptance at the present time in view of falling prices and the need for a reduction in the cost of building.
